Our Sustainability Strategy is a fundamental part of our current success and future ambitions. Our environmental and carbon reduction principles are reinforced in every project and to all of our people.
Our key principles are focused upon the following targets:
Reducing the need for and usage of energy
Promoting a low carbon lifestyle

Purchase of electric vans
Installation of electric vehicle charge points
A focus on creating highly efficient new buildings
Increasing our yard sorting and recycling facility
Forming a cycle shelter to promote cycling to work

Throughout the build programme we found HBC to be practical, helpful and professional. Due to the specialist nature of the building and its sensitive environment, there have been numerous variations to the contract as we have gone along and, every time, sensible outcomes have been agreed with prompt advice as to cost variations, both up and down. HBC were alert to possible savings and focused on helping us to meet our financial target with an enthusiasm which has been refreshing. Our relationship with them and their Site Manager Frank, was warm, trusting and cordial throughout. We held fortnightly meetings with them at which they have produced up to date Gantt charts and progress reports.
